Back to the Eating Board
So after carefully laying out my plans, I let them rot. The problem it seems is that it is very difficult to eat whilst typing.
Sitting in church (as is my wont) I was discussing restaurants with a friend (her blog is secret, so I can't link it), and she asked me for recommendations. Five pages later, I realized that need to put this vast knowledge of where to eat things to use. So I am going to give this thing another go.

This is the spot for BREAKFAST
The late Saturday morning breakfast is a treasured rite. A rite of Kings and Emperors, the languish by the side of an omelet and drizzle sweet syrups upon the desert pastries. I have some pretty strong opinions on this, so this week we will explore the spots to eat breakfast. And we shall break our fasts, nay we shall dash them upon the griddle's of this valley.
Now breakfast should be an easy meal to make, but so many do it wrong (so so wrong) and there are many competent breakfasteries out there, but we are looking for a cut above, we are looking for places that are worth waiting in line for, or perhaps a few that are worth waking up before the crack of noon for their sweet breakfast stuffs.
In general I want to find places that are local and unique to the valley, but sometimes chains can bring their A-game and that should put the local pancake purveyors on notice. Just because you are local doesn't mean you are good.
Now I just need to figure out how I am going to come to work two hours late every day for the next week.
Watch for the final list next Thursday.

This is the Spot for RULES
Each week will have a theme. We will muse on that theme for a week. At the end of the week I will post my list of mentionable spots and announce the spot for that theme. I hope I haven't given myself too much blog homework.
Also, there will be other contributors to this blog. The initiation will be complex and shrouded with mystery. The new members have to keep to the theme of that week. The reason for this is that the blog will be archived on a weekly basis, so if you are searching for tomato soup spots, aye, there it is.
Using a randomized drawing, a grueling tribunal-by-fire and a harrowing initiation, I would like to announce our first blog member. Danny.
As long as I am announcing first, I am also going to anounce our theme for the first week.
BREAKFAST.

The spot for...
I like reviewing things and I like making lists (in no particular order). I like to make generic top 5 and top 3 lists that don't rank the top three, but tell you these are the three best things and you can decide which one you like for yourownself. In the interest of full disclosure, I didn't invent lists, Nick Hornby didn't either (he was like third to use them, though we aren't sure as list making was still in its nascent form).
So this blog will be an attempt to establish nice lists for quality stuffs in Utah (a pretty great state [top 3 slogans for the state]). Maybe some will be outside of Utah, but I don't have that much experience outside of Utah. I mean I travel quite a bit, but to speak with any authority, you really have to have tried a volume of things.
Here are things which I will soon be blogging about and the quality therein. Please comment if you have a suggestion, I might try it out, but be warned, by opinion matters WAY more than yours (unless you have your own blog with readership that will soon approach the dozens).
So here are some upcoming topics
Cocoa that hits the spot
the spot for breakfast
the spot for tomato soup on a rainy day
Spot on Sushi
Spotting the best Thai food
the best spots to buy a book
Los Spotos de tacos
The closest thing to a hot dog spot
Pizzas
the best spots to hit
So I guess you get the picture.
Also, I will try to have pictures, so you can get them.
